I mentioned this in The Maze Runner, and it's the only reason this earns an extra star. I really do want to know what's happening, but slogging through the inanities was difficult. Several times I considered quitting and just reading a wikipedia summary (if there is one). I often want to criticise Jane Austen, but her books madden me so that I can't conceal my frenzy from the reader and therefore I have to stop every time I begin. "I haven't any right to criticise books, and I don't do it except when I hate them. I'll let this quote sum up my feelings on Dashner.
